It also plays host to regular tournaments ranging from casual, laid back tournaments to elite level tournaments featuring the best poker players in the country.

Casino de Monte Carlo
Where? Monaco, South of France
To the south of France, nestled between Nice in the west and the Italian border in the east, you will find the principality of Monaco. Fiercely independent, Monaco is also the playground to the rich and famous, enticed to the principality by the weather and, in no large part, the relaxed tax laws.
Another attraction to Monaco is the elegant and historic Casino de Monte Carlo. Opened in July 1865 as a means to garner revenue for the ruling Grimaldi family, this casino is perhaps the most iconic on the planet.
Favoured as the regular haunt of fictional spy James Bond, the Casino de Monte Carlo is one of the best places in the world to play poker. As the clientele tends to be from the upper echelons of society, make sure to bring enough money with you to afford the buy-ins though!
