Canada is the second-largest country globally, and it doesn’t fall short of attractions that both visitors and locals can enjoy. It is vast, with varying climates and fun activities that you can do all year round. In addition, this multi-cultural country has laid-back and friendly people who will make your stay even better.   1. Visit the parks

Canada boasts of several gorgeous parks. Some parks are best for strolling and enjoying a relaxing day. Others allow you to do outdoor activities like hiking and camping. Jasper National Park is one to visit if you are up for an outdoor adventure. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is in Alberta, and it’s comprised of mountains, forests, rivers, and meadows. It’s the perfect way to appreciate and experience nature. Algonquin Provincial Park, Banff National Park, Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, and Stanley Park are other parks to add to your list.

Canada is rich in art and history. There are several museums and historical spots to visit to experience this side of the country. Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre has temporary and permanent exhibitions showing Lil’wat and Squamish indigenous groups’ culture, art, and history. Guided tours are also available to Parliament Hill, which is an excellent destination for history enthusiasts. The Rideau Canal is another historic spot that offers various activities, such as motor boating and kayaking.

 

5. Attend festivals

Canadians know how to party and have fun. It is evident in the festivals that they celebrate the whole year-round. Winter will never stop festivities in the country. Winterlude is a festival that takes place in Ottawa, which lasts for three weeks. Outdoor and indoor entertainment, like live performances, are available. The Rideau Canal turns into a vast skating rink during these times. Other must-attend festivals are Calgary Stampede, Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, and Toronto International Film Festival.
