Administrative specialisation, education, and medicine received 245,000, 244,000 and 185,000 H-1B visas, respectively.
In this time frame, more than 2,000 foreign workers over the age of 65 years received H-1B visas. In 2017, people above 65 years of age have received 122 H-1B visas till now.
The report also states that the maximum number of H-1B visas were received by the custom computer programming services industry.
There has also been a surge in the average salaries of H-1B visa holders. Breitbart News has stated that around 70 to 80 percent of the foreign workers coming into the US every year on H-1B visas hailed from India.
