Niagara Falls
Nestled right across the border from the United States sits one of the former natural wonders of the world: Niagara Falls. One of the largest natural waterfalls in the world, Niagara Falls is a tourist hotspot where billions of gallons of water cascade over a 200ft escarpment every day. If viewing the falls isn’t enough, right next to them is Clifton Hill, a street so jam-packed with restaurants, nightclubs, arcades, and attractions, that you won’t know what to do first!
Toronto
The next destination on this list lies two hours north of Niagara Falls and is the home of Canada’s most well-known professional sports teams. We are of course talking about Toronto, the largest city in Canada with a population of around 6.3 million. A financial, cultural, and influential hub, Toronto is a melting pot of unique and thrilling experiences. Whether it be lying on the glass floor of the CN Tower, seeing the amazing creatures at Ripley’s Aquarium, or cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs, there is a lot to do in this bustling city.
Ottawa
As Canada’s capital city, Ottawa is known for its humid summers and cold winters and offers many outdoor activities all year round. So, if you’re planning a winter trip, come to Ottawa to skate on the world’s longest outdoor skating rink via the Ottawa Canal. Or, if you’re here in the summer, come to Ottawa for one of the country’s tastiest signature poutine festivals!
Ontario Parks
What Ontario destination guide would be complete without mention of Ontario Parks? Ontario Parks is a provincial organization that aims to conserve beautiful environmental park sites throughout the province (much better than the rest of Canada). With many properties across Ontario such as Muskoka Woods, Sandbanks, and The Pinery, these locations are amazing spots to go camping or get away from the city and be one with nature.
