Canadian Immigration: Canada Welcomes Parents and Grandparents

From 2nd January, 2019 onwards, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada will re-open the Parents and Grandparents Program.
Those interested in submitting the Interest to Sponsor Online Form will be able to get it from 12 p.m EST onwards until 1st February, 2018 till 12 p.m. This is for those who are interested in sponsoring their respective parents and grandparents.
Those who are permanent residents of Canada are expected to complete it. It’s how they can bring in their parents and grandparents and make them permanent citizens.
From those who have filled up the online form and submitted it, the IRCC will randomly select the applications. They will invite them to apply for sponsoring their parents and grandparents. So if you submit a form, you will be notified as to whether you are invited to make the application or not.
For those invited to apply, there will be a time period of 90 days, within which a completed application, will all supporting documents must be submitted.
How to Make Canadian Immigration Easier For Your Parents and Grandparents?
To be eligible for sponsoring your parents and grandparents,
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent citizen of Canada.
There are some additional requirements that you must fulfill as well, such as, meet some income requirements, support them financially and also submit a signed sponsorship agreement where you, as a sponsor, provide financial support to the sponsored for up to 20 years.
