When it comes to stepping up their game and going the extra mile to take care of their employees, the Government of Dubai doesn’t bat an eyelid. And they have done it again! This time they are able to extend their support for immigrant workers who work at the Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC). All healthcare and medical tests facilities shall be provided under one roof.
The Emirates Medical Fitness, a healthcare center set up at the DHCC, and in partnership with the Dubai Healthcare Authority (DHA) will conduct medical fitness tests and provide quick and easy access to residency visa application services for more than 8000 people working in DHCC and their family members. It is expected to put the government services on par with international standards.
It had also collaborated with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs – Dubai or GDRFA – Dubai, in order to reduce the time and effort to complete their visa procedures by allowing the applicants to finalize the visa application process at the center.
The center, which can handle up to 100 customers per day, shall operate from Sundays to Thursdays from 8 am to 3 pm. It aims to carry out the medical fitness tests for its applicants within 15 minutes and finalize their respective applications within a few days. It is a one stop shop for the residents where everything – from blood tests to X-rays shall be carried out in the designated time frame with precision and accuracy.
The government is also planning on starting the second shift soon from 3 pm to 9 pm depending on the demand and may come up with another center in the future as a part of its expansion plan. The charges for carrying out these medical tests haven’t been finalized yet, but are expected to be similar to the ones prevalent in other DHA healthcare centers.
