One of the reasons it makes a list is that it has been operating for a fair bit of time now. By that, I mean over a hundred years. The store has been welcoming customers since 1874.
One of the good people who visited the store called it a step back in time, which says a lot about the decor and the aura of the place.
There is a great selection of groceries, lottery tickets, bakery goods, gifts, souvenirs, greeting cards, and everything that it is that you can think of.

5. Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary
The Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary is right up there among the best things to do near Lake Rosseau.
Their motive/purpose is to rehabilitate wild animals and provide them with the necessary conditions for the continuation of their species.
On top of that, they also make it a point to take the utmost care of animals found injured or orphaned.
Some of the notable species that you’ll find at the Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary include bears, moose, coyotes, raccoons, foxes, porcupines, and cats.
Another brilliant thing is that they let you interact with the animals up close. Please make sure that you’re respectful towards the animals and that you do not do anything to bother them.
