Vancouver, BC, October 23, 2024 – The safety of deliveries has again come under focus over an incident that occurred in Arbutus Ridge neighborhood today. A package that was delivered to one of the residents was last seen on the porch but is no longer there since it has been taken. The criminal wore a gray hoodie and stayed low in front of the door camera in order not to be seen. But another camera installed on the premises recorded what had happened.
The robbery which took place close to the 2520-2530 39 W Ave, Vancouver led one of the residents to ask other members of the community how best, this problem can be resolved. Many neighbors have discussed the report, with a number of them providing solutions and recounting their own similar incidents.
“Please remain careful and check your parcels,”, said one of the residents. As these cases are now more common, officials of the community and the residents have made recommendations such as putting up cameras and telling couriers to deliver packages while people are at home, or protect the packages in order for theft not to occur.
The authorities however have said nothing about this particular case, but community members are asked to report any unusual behavior that could lead to the prevention of such cases in the near future.
