What Makes Toronto’s Pride Month Special for Queer Musical Icons?

Every music enthusiast in Canada would be electrified by hearing about the upcoming event ‘The Candlelight Pride: Queer Musical Icons.  It is for celebrating all the people who aren’t afraid to accept themselves as they are. The event is taking place at the Metropolitan Church of Toronto on June 2, 2023, at 8 in the evening. Make sure to attend it if you look up to the iconic queer icons of the music industry or love their music.

The event offers some of the best queer artists in the music industry with an amazing selection of songs. So, if you find yourself humming to Mommy Don’t Know Daddy’s

you will regret missing this event.1. About Candlelight Pride: Queer Musical Icons

There will be many songs of widespread queer icons that are dominating the mainstream Hollywood music industry. Listeso String Quartet will perform.

The event is set to kick off with Unholy by Sam Smith, followed by Your Song by Elton John.

The event will also include other popular hits of Gen-Z favorites like Montero(Call Me By Your Name) by Lil Nas X and Thinking ’bout You by Frank Ocean.

2. About the Venue

The Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto is a progressive and lively community center at 115 Simpson Ave, Toronto, ON M4K 1A1. Although the audience entrance is from Howland Ave, south of Simpson Ave.

The venue doesn’t have parking, so make sure to come a bit early to find a spot if you’re planning to arrive by car, and also there will be no food stalls at the venue, and only water bottles will be allowed during the event. 

3. Things You Must Know About the Event

  • The event will be for 65 minutes, and the important thing to keep herein mind is that the event doors open 60 minutes before  
  • Also, don’t trouble your furry friends by getting them all excited for an outing if you’re planning on bringing them along. Pets aren’t allowed. 
  • Anyone above the age of 8 is allowed. But f you’re someone who is under 16, then you need to be accompanied by an adult.

4. About the Tickets for Candlelight Pride: Queer Musical Icons

The tickets will be divided into two different zones, which will be specified on the ticket page. Guests are entitled to apply for a free pass for their caretakers, information for which will be available here. 

The tickets must be purchased through the Fever app, or website and not anywhere else, and the guest should have the ticket with them before arriving at the event; the seating will be on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis in the respective zones the guest holds the ticket for

An important note here is that no tickets will be available at the venue, all bookings must be done online through the Fever app or website.
