They are situated not far from Lake, on the winter road leading to Red Deer in Alberta. You are welcome to take a tour of the small town of the farm where the cheese is produced to understand the production process better.

Undoubtedly, at lake, sampling some cheese and purchasing some to take away is the highlight of the experience. Not only do they provide their award-winning lactose-free gouda, but they also offer mozzarella, cheddar, raclette, and many other kinds of cheese.

The cheese that comes straight from the farm to the table is out of this world. You will have time to thank me afterwards!

7. Camping at Jarvis Provincial Park

One of the best locations to stay in is the Jarvis Bay Provincial Park, among the many wonderful options available for upcoming events. Overnight camping accommodations and a visit to lake are the ideal way to enjoy being in nature and near the lake while being within a reasonable distance of town for access to shopping, dining, and other conveniences.

The camping area is linked to a trail network that guests may use for hiking and bicycling, and it also provides spots for tents, trailers, and RVs. It provides everything you may want, including fire pits, electricity, flush toilets, and drinkable water. Additionally, there is a playground for children, making this an outstanding choice for families!

8. Visit a Local Brewery

A vacation to a lakeside town at the lake isn’t complete without at least one sample of the local beer. You should taste some award-winning craft beer at the Snake Lake Brewing Company in Lake.

You may stop by their tasting room any day of the week to sample a pint, flight, or growler fill, or you can fill up a growler to go and take it with you when you leave. Their Prairie Dreams New England Pale Ale and Ice Cutter Vanilla Latte Stout are two of the best beers to enjoy throughout the warm summer.

It is just a few streets away from the beach, and it s known for having the most delicious pizza and pasta in tradition; they have a deal where you can have both of your meals for the price of one, so you can eat as much as you want!

A family runs this small company, and they produce all of the dough and sauces on the premises. In addition to pizza, they provide other Italian specialties such as spaghetti, ribs, donairs, wings, and panzerotti, a savoury turnover similar to a calzone originating in Italy. After spending the whole day outdoors by the lake, you can count on this establishment to satisfy your cravings.

10. Big Moo Ice Cream

After all that pizza, you’ll want something cold and creamy to finish it! We’ve got you to eat ice cream in the cold. Visit and explore the Big Moo Ice Cream Parlour, which can be found near the shore of Lake. They provide some of the most delicious ice creams in the area; thus, you should get the cone with three scoops and sample flavours like Nanaimo brownie, caramel candy apple, and paradise rainbow.

Because they provide a wide variety of gluten-free alternatives and dairy-free sorbets, this restaurant does have something that will appeal to every customer.

11. Nightlife

The fact that enjoying the nightlife is one of the top things to do in Lake should not come on the car as a surprise, given that it is a popular vacation destination for people from Alberta and visitors from other places. Lakeshore Drive is the major roadway that runs along the ocean and is filled with places to grab a drink or go out dancing – this area is packed on the weekends because of this!

At lake Fire pit, Buckwildz, and Chief’s Pub & Eatery are three of the most frequented restaurants and bars in the area. But to tell you the truth, all you have to do is put on your favourite clothing and amenities and go out the door; you won’t have any trouble locating a crowded bar where you can have a drink and enjoy a night out on the town!

12. Riding a Bicycle

Biking is a fun and effective method to become acquainted with a new location, and Lake is no exception. There are a few locations in all towns where you can hire bicycles, and the cost is reasonable. After that, you may ride your bike around the lake, taking in the scenery and getting some fresh air.

Make sure to have a picnic lunch with you if you decide to stop somewhere and eat it. Getting about town and to the beach on two wheels is another viable transportation option. During the busier months of spring and summer, parking is quite restricted and might be difficult to locate. Therefore, riding a bike is the ideal answer!

13. Alberta’s Caesar

During your time at Sylvan , if you need another excuse to stop at a bar for a drink, here it is: Buckwildz serves an award-winning Caesar cocktail, and you must taste it! Several years ago, the winner of the prize at the Calgary Stampede Mott’s Clamato competition was Kjery Dakin, who later established Buckwildz. We know it’s doing fairly well when we beat out competitors throughout the province.

14. Axe Throwing

You wouldn’t imagine that going on vacation to a lake would lead to you learning how to throw axes like a lumberjack, would you? However, I can assure you that you will have a wonderful day.

It is situated just a little outside the downtown area’s centre and is a great spot to throw axes. Axe throwing is available on eight different lanes, each with digitized lanes and interactive targets that keep track of your results. In addition, they have instructors that can instruct you in the proper technique and provide you with hints and suggestions.

15. Holiday in an Amazing Home

Camping has been considered a potential option for overnight accommodations; however, a home or cabin in such a lovely setting would be far more desirable. Thanks to vacation rental websites such as VRBO and Airbnb, it is much simpler to discover breathtaking locations.

You get the opportunity to learn something new while also benefiting from the conveniences of an environment similar to your homes, such as having access to a kitchen, bathroom, and beds. One of the most effective methods to save costs while going on vacation would be to go with a large group of people, have each person make a contribution to the overall cost of the vacation, and have each person cook a portion of their own meals while they are away.
